Google "stainless steel" or "314 stainless steel" and you will have more info than anyone  needs....

unscrew your forestay from the turnbuckle, jam it through a small rubber ball, push it up over the swage, reattach your turnbuckle ... neat, easy, quick and cheap...

The cutless bearing on my 85 JJT is held in place with set screws....

Attention "Amazing Grace", number JJT 351, Cadiz Bay, Kentucky......
