Take a look at what I removed from the cock pit . These storage nooks are made from a rubber maid
Bin cut in half and glassed with wood and glue that result in storage that could allow water into the
Quarter berth if the cock pit was ever flooded not to mention all sorts of wild life . Does anybody think this to be original construction . I will endeavour to add pictures to this post .seems that the file is too big...I got it ...yay

Here’s my plan unless there is a good reason for not doing so
I removed the rudder for transport and was surprised by the weight ,its got to be 130 lbs and as far as my thinking goes there is no reason for it to be so. I put an inquirery to the guys at Jeremy Rogers to see the weight
of their replacement rudders to see what’s new. No reply yet.
I think with a carbon fibre or Kevlar constructed rudder a saving of 60 lbs could be had. Just imagine the advantages of getting the weight out of the transom. I’m currently planning a one year refit and repower and at this point I’m considering all possibilities.
