hi,
i'm new to this site and i have a contessa 26, hull#108.
i am going to add a vhf antenna to the mast and would appreciate any advice. also, i have garmin 540 chart plotter and am open to suggestions as to best mounting location.

Welcome and congratulations...

I have my garmin 276c mounted on a swing arm on the port side and it swings out into the cockpit for me to liook at and at the same time it's out of the environment.... it works good.

Jose, you obviously don't have a three year old.  "Swing arm" becomes exactly that! smile

As near as I can get to a three year old is my two yera old grand daughter... sorry wasnt thinking... smile
