Topic: Broken rudder on 1980 JJ Taylor

Hi everyone!

I bought this boat a couple of weeks ago and discovered that the rudder was broken! Yikes!
So, I am planning building a new one, but am on a tight time line... have to ait a week to haul out,
and am hoping to get on with building before I haul out. Does anyone, PRETTY PLEASE,
have a rudder plan for a JJ T that they could get to me?

Any help would be great!

You should be able to remove the rudder without hauling out. There is a cotter pin on the pintle. You should be able to get at these with fins and mask.

It is definitely possible to do in the water, as mine was done after it flew off. It definitely takes more than one person though.
