Re: I'm rebuilding a Co and i need your help
Hi- that back plate has your registration number something like ZJT..... and then the last three digits are the boat number, and then it has something like: Built by JJ Taylor, Toronto, Ontario (then the year the boat was built).
Re: I'm rebuilding a Co and i need your help
Yvan,
Thank you for the reply.
I will have to reproduce my plate, like i said mine is erase.
My idea is to redo the plate with laser engrave.
If someone could take a picture or send me the text of each lines, i will make a template with my registration number.
Thank's
Marc
Re: I'm rebuilding a Co and i need your help
Hi Marc - would like to help, but my boat is buttoned up for the winter and down in Kingston and I am in Ottawa, so I will not see her until the spring, but if you still need it then more than happy to help.
Cheers
Re: I'm rebuilding a Co and i need your help
The plate number would look like the following:
ZJT031460875
ZJT03 is the company info
146 is the boat number
08 is the month (August) when it was finished (I believe)
75 is the year (1975) when it was built.
So you boat would be following:
ZJT03158xxxx you will need to find the month and year information.
Hope this help, jklee

Mine is missing the plate as well, another project to add to the list I guess.

Thank you both for your help, I will be able to reproduce the plate.
Another task done.

Re: I'm rebuilding a Co and i need your help
Mine (#161) has the registration number molded into the hull. It is on the stern, top starboard corner. It is hard to see because it is small (~3/8" x 1.5") and the same colour as the hull. I do not know if I have the molded number instead of the plate or if it should have both and the plate is missing. That also means the date must be the start of construction.
