Are you telling us that you have found #1 & #2 JR built in the UK region and the #3 JJT built in Canada or UK?  Any photos of this?  Interesting.

Hi Nigel - one quick question - I have PBO June edition and looked at pages 100 and 101 - no picture of "Rosina of Beaulieu" - was it the 2004 edition perhaps - or maybe I have a North American version of PBO - just curious as it would be interesting to see a picture of this boat.

Marc, thanks for your info on your boat, "Sun Wave".
I have added on the boat's name to the spreadsheet, which helps out on the years where there is no boat number.  If any one wants a copy of this spreadsheet, I would be happy to pass it on.

smh, thanks for infor and your boats info.  It seem that boat #125 is out of place with its year of contruction, 1974.

To admin person, is there anyway to displace this infor in a spreadsheet for others to look over?  I have at present 42 rows on JJT26 info or about 10% of the JJT boats constructed.

We should probably stop using the "sail number" (mine is 119) and go for the complete HIN (mine is ZJT031190275).  The HIN was molded into the hull at the time that the hull was cast.  Regardless of when the boat was completed, the HIN would not be changed.  It's a matter of international law. I've seen several examples of the SN not agreeing with the HIN.  I believe that some of the confusion comes from when someone misreads the HIN.

86E number is not a serial number.  It's a Canadian license number,  found on the fro t of the boat.  The E designates the boat was originally licensed in Ontario, and the 86 designates the issuing customs office (86 is Toronto, I believe...).  Cheers

John, I am wondering if you are restricting the list to only JJTaylor's and excluding JCRogers built boats? There are a couple of us here in the States.

Just a comment...I'm afraid that some of the information may be suspect since it is based on "sail numbers".  The Fleet Registry contains several glaring errors.  Sail numbers are used generally only for racing and are not consideredd a legal identifyer. The HIN or the manufacturer's hull number (for boats earlier than 1973) are the only recognized identification.

NigeCh: Do you have a boat name and location I can put down on the list?  I have you listed only with year and sail number.  I did find a couple of more JR to list but I am unsure of the info, please check for me and send me any other JR listing you know of or where I can find it.

Since 1974, the HIN was required on all boats built world wide.  I just looked at a 1975 Contest 30 (Holland) and it had a proper number on the transom.
