The Contessa Corner → General Questions/Comments → serial number
I live in Holland and have a contessa26. Origanally the boat comes from the USA. At the stern is a code engraved.Due to painting it is hard to read but I think it is ZJT032520320. Can someone tell me what this means? The boat is from around 1980
My number is ZJT03350186. Based on this and my understanding of my boat, this is the 335 hull JJT built, building it in Jan. 1986. I don't know what the "Z" is or the "J and T" for that matter.
If I'm right what does this say about your boat? You may have the 252th hull built in March 1980?
I'm curious to see what others say.

I think that (ZJT) is the builder code,(03) is the mold number,(252)is the hull number,(03)is march and (20)maybe(80) is the year the hull was built.
I think that gold has the long and the short of it. It matches the information I had for my Contessa 26.
