Topic: Need Replacement Stancion Bases

Does anyone know where to find the original cast aluminum stanchion bases or good replacements?

I bought what I thought was a suitable stainless replacement but when I went to install it late in the spring I realized it was ever so slightly off.  I had to overdrill the holes, and the quality has proven to be poor this season.  So now I'm looking again.

If you don't find a source over here, it appears Jeremy Roger Yachts have the original replacements. Just follow the link posted under the links on the home page of this web site.

Good suggestion but I've actually tried them.  Some of the hardware is the same, not all of it.  Unfortunately the stanction bases on the British version aren't the same (square bases I believe) .

Cast aluminum?  Mine are bronze (1979, sail# 230).

Mine too -- painted bronze castings.  I stripped mine last year to go with all the bronze on my boat.

p.s.  I would love to get a few more of these if anyone has a few lying around....
