I replaced my manual bilge pump as posted above your post.  I never did determine the exact model, but believe the replaced pump was the original Henderson pump.  The Defender kit fit exactly and is still working today.  Good luck, Tom

height to the deck cap ( which I hope means the teak board on top of the transom fiberglass? )  tks, tom

Does anyone have or can direct me to specific information on the construction of the J.J.Taylor Contessa 26, specifically, for the 1985 vintage?  It seems reasonable that there must have been a owner/user manual at one time.  And, perhaps, a shop manual?  Were details of the JJT's construction made available when they ceased production?  Some specific questions I have are:

1.  Height of the transom rail above the static water line?
2.  Angle of the transom to the static water line?
3.  Thickness of the transom?

I would like to have full detailed construction infomation/dimensions for future modifications and additions.  Can anyone help?  Thanks for any details/ideas/direction/suggestions/etc.

My JJT 26 has a Bukh 8hp and one of the motor mounts is broken.  I have emailed Waterway Diesel in Maryland, and also, Crinmar in Canada, but no response yet.  I thought I would ask if anyone has experience replacing a motor mount and if anyone knows of a source for a new one?  Thanks, Tom

If anyone has the same step arrangement as in the 5 pictures I uploaded to the technical gallery, please let me know what you do with the front bolt hole.  Tks, Tom

i upload 5 pictures in the technical gallery.  thank you for your help!

the first time i had my mast stepped, i noticed that the mast mount had two bolt holes, front and back.  the deck plate had a corresponding hole for the back, but the front was an extension that covered approximately 1/3 of the front mast bolt hole.  not understanding the mounting, we used only the back bolt hole and the standing rigging to support the mast.  during my second mast stepping, an observation was made that something should go in the front bolt hole.  recently reading an old jjt spec sheet, it mentioned an 'awl gripped alloy mast.'  i do not know what this means.  my question is:  is something supposed to be inserted in the front mounting hole?  the notion of an awl implies, perhaps, something hammered in?  thanks for any help, suggestions, obervations, etc.  tom, jjt329

the diaphram on my manual bilge pump has torn and i am trying to find a new diaphram.  the only identification i can find on the pump is on the cockpit side mounting bezel.  the lettering is worn, but appears to be MH inside of a pennant graphic.  does anyone recognize this pump, or have suggestions as to where i might find a new diaphram?

any experiences with the manual bilge pump would also be appreciated.

thanks,

tom
