If you thinks that's bad... how about Capella and Varuna sharing the same Hull Number... and registered in two different Countries... There must have been a sale on sails for Renaissance...
What are you doing all the way over there... shouldn't you be on your Contessa...

Well I got it fixed... had noticed that whoever in their wisdom had installed 5/8 bronze bolts instead if a 5/8 bronze pin with a threaded ends on it for the locking nut... by installing the new bronze pins in the original holes... the play is all gone...
It seems the threads on the bolts... wore a groove in the gudgeon and when the two threaded pieces came together it created a whole lot of play...

Has anyone done any work on the Pintle & Gudgeons… I have a lot of play on mine and would like some advice on what to do… it's obvious that the Pintle is a one piece molded in the tiller and glassed over… any ideas… any suggestions… would be greatly appreciated…

I have never done this... however... I took a workshop and the instructor told us how to do it... he said that using a hacksaw blade... you cut the inside of the Cutlass bearing and then you use a pair of pliers and just roll it into itself... it's not easy but that's how he suggested... also be very careful not to cut too deep....
This is the best I can do for you... I'm sure there are other suggestions out there and maybe someone might have actually done one...

Have another question... "dose anyone know if the DC system we have on these little boats is a grounded or ungrounded system?"... it seems that the shrouds and stuff is bonded to the plate on the keel... however the DC negative is isolated from the rest of the boat... any thought or comments... thanks

Has anyone hooked up a battery charger system... and if so... is there anything from back feeding the charger when the engine is charging the batteries... and would this be recommended???

Thanks for the quick turn around time… and for the extra video… the second one is much better.
Watched the movie again… and again, and I must say it was a lot of fun seeing "my own boat" doing what it does so well on film.
