Everyones exhaust should be above the water at rest, but i was wondering

As you boat moves thru the water, the faster it goes the higher the water rises behind the stern above the static level at rest.

When under way at what engine speed if any does your exhaust outlet sink below the water level.

If you exhaust level does not sink below the water at full motoring speed could you give me the distance from under the stern dress wood to you exhaust outlet.

Thanks,
The next time out i'll measure mine and post it.

I've done both of those jobs.

Actually the distance is TWICE the length you quoted. Line loss is the distance out and back to the battery

SO

14 GA is undersized

12 GA is OK

It all comes down to line loss % (west had a good chart in the electrical area) but it really comes down to MONEY right ;-)

I used triple flat but wanted triple round but could not find it, and then used duplex for the steaming light

If you measure really good you can connect the duplex to the triplex (and VHF) and pull it all together and have it spot on the midpoint hole in the mast for the steaming light.

Anchor wire & shrink fittings = doing it only once

1.  Height of the transom rail above the static water line?

are you talking about the stainless life rails or the deck cap ?

2.  Angle of the transom to the static water line?

this is covered somewhere online here, i think its about 53 degrees

3.  Thickness of the transom?

quite thick where my exhaust went thru, i'd say pushing 1.5 inches ? not sure if  this is true everywhere

check westebeke.com for drawing lines of motor

the 12C just fits, leaving the original beds intact
must raise the pully end of the hatch (cockpit floor) 2 inches to clear alternator
it ends up just under the cabin slide hatches.

interior of boat says the same

Per Johns measurements and the USCG site

the DEPTH is from the TOPSIDEs deck to the base of the keel and NOT the waterline depth to the base of the keel (if you have a full keel boat vs a fin keel)

this gives you all the interior volume.

Remember YOU are paying BOTH WAYS, for the haul so with todays fuel costs it should be running .

TO get the cheapest price you need to fill his trailer BOTH WAYS.

$4-6/mile about $150-200/hr plus all fees/permits/hotels/tolls

What have you owned before this ?

Is this your first boat

i have a set of robust Garhauer Low Lead Cars, they work well, I have nothing to compare them too because the old stuff was junk and was tossed before i put the boat in.  The price was the selling feature for me.

just cut off 3-4 inches of the track lip and slip them on.

you can harm fewer things if it is in gear
