I am trying to get insurance, but some require a survey , and they want $450. Does anyone have insurance that will accept the yardowners survey?

Thanks Mark, that's probably what's going to happen. Did anyone ever think of a hard dodger? Maybe we can make a mold and make 10 of those?

Great Thanks Mark,
I like that better than a tension meter!

I might have the same problem on my 74, could you send me the pictures as well?
Is it possible to just drill holes in the deck and fill it with epoxy from the top?

I finally have my mast up! What is the tension you guys have the rigging set at? and is one of those small hand tension meters accurate enough?
Thanks,
Peter

I am installing a Yanmar 1GM10 and my mechanic is worried about backflow of water into the original exhaust, because of the relatively small elbow. He wants to lower the exhaust through hull to create a higher loop. Has anyone had problems with the original setup?
Thanks,
Peter

What if I put a checkvalve in the line? Would it still drain or do they need pressure?

Lol

Great , thanks for the input, I will initially go with the 2 rollers per halyard and maybe later convert to inside the mast stuff to lead them to the cockpit. I will also leave the roller boom alone and use regular reefing. I'll post pictures when I am in the water.

While we're on the subject, can I route the discharge hose under the side deck behind the head, or does it need to be higher for the heeled waterline?

Anybody installed a Beta 10 diesel?
I would like some feedback on the installation and performance and prop.
The registry shows one in Marina del Rey, how do I get the owners email?

That sounds great, no holes for the wiring either?
This would save me another hole in the hull.

The head on mine was removed before I got it , and there is a hole under the stove area to access where the nuts have been.
I am using that to access the nuts for my new head.

Does anyone have experience with a trimtab system? I am thinking it would not be hard to combine auto-pilot and windvane to control the same rudder trimtab.
